You can delete your OnPoint account and everything synced to it yourself, at any time, from inside the app. You do not need to contact us, and you do not need an active subscription. This page explains how, exactly what is removed, and how to ask us to do it for you.
In the app (iPhone, Android, or the web app at onpointbills.com/app):
Deleting is available whether or not you are paying. You do not need a subscription to delete your data.
Every row we hold that is keyed to your account is deleted from our database:
After deletion, copies may persist briefly in our hosting provider's routine backups before being overwritten in the ordinary course. We do not use those backups to restore deleted accounts.
You do not have to delete your account to remove data. Inside the app you can, at any time:
Data stored only on your device is removed when you delete it in the app, clear the site's browsing data, or remove the app from the device. Backup files you have downloaded stay wherever you saved them until you delete them.
Every OnPoint account is a team of one, so deleting your account also deletes that workspace's records: its clients, projects, rates, letterhead and bills.
If you share a team with other people, or you logged time that a team has billed, the app will decline to delete the account and will tell you why. This protects the team's billing records, which do not belong to a single person. To proceed:
If you cannot reach the app, or you would rather we handled it, email support@onpointtimeentry.com from the address on your OnPoint account and ask us to delete your account. We may need to confirm you control that address before acting. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through a store, because we are not the merchant. Cancel a Google Play subscription in the Play Store app under Payments and subscriptions; an App Store subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings; and a subscription bought on our website in the billing portal (Settings, then Account, then Manage subscription), or by emailing us.
